"Zebulon Pike II: The Deafening Twilight," the sophomore release from Minneapolis rockers Zebulon Pike provides little to write home about.
Referring to their own music as "...muted aggression necessary for inciting the slow motion apocalypse," the lyrics give the listener some kind of idea of what lies ahead, but the band is not successful in provoking the apocalypse.
In between the seemingly endless and boring five tracks (two clocking in at longer than 20 minutes) on this disc, one can pretty much hear the self-centeredness and inward attitude of the band.
Using no lyrics and resembling roughly an hour of drawn on jam sessions and slow solos, Zebulon Pike's second effort is a definite pass. BO
