Looking back, 2005 was a busy year (as usual) in the local music scene. New and revamped clubs, tons of local CD releases and more bands than anyone can possibly keep track of.
We asked a bunch of local music industry types to send in their top picks for bands, clubs, record stores, radio and music Web sites.

We didn’t really rate anyone or have a top pick, we just listed the most voted-on artists in alphabetical order. It’s a great resource on who and what to check out in the local music scene.
There are artists that were missed and some artists Rift added because we believe they needed to be included.
