This local band mixes jazz, hip-hop and they don’t shy away from being political. A line from their Myspace page describes them as a jazz Rage against the Machine. While Rage might get you to pump your fist in the air, Junkyard Empire’s music is a little more laid back, but the message is there, if your more interested in a quieter less violent revolution.
